We don’t believe great travel comes from endless lists or generic recommendations. It comes from judgement, context, and knowing when something is truly worth your time.
Everything we publish starts from that perspective.
When we recommend a place, route, or experience, it’s because we’ve either been there ourselves or we’ve taken the time to properly assess it — with the same care we’d apply to planning our own travels.
Where something comes from firsthand experience, that’s made clear. Where it’s been carefully researched rather than personally visited, that’s also transparent.

3.Traditional Ita Mata dish made with raw bluefin tuna, chopped veggies and coconut cream from @littlepolynesian - an amazing local dish and a must try from anywhere you eat! (This one was particularly good)
4. Mahi mahi fish with coconut rice from @pacificrarotonga
5. Sizzling parrot fish cooked with coconut cream and vegetables (a favourite!) @pacificrarotonga
6. Fresh fish tacos with salsa from @traderjacksrarotonga (simple but very tasty!)

We`re usually the sort of travellers that love a fast pace and seeing as many sites as we can, but the best part of this trip was being able to relax enough to read some books and leisurely walk the beaches with the island dogs with no final destination in mind. We loved bar hopping some of the barefoot beach bars each afternoon, eating our weight in fish tacos/burgers/sandwiches and just lying in our beach hut admiring the spectacular view of the sea just metres away ❤️
We also loved the simplicity of the local bus! The two options are clockwise or anticlockwise around the island and you can wave down the bus at any point along the road!

Island dogs 🌴🐕 Always there to happily escort you on a beach walk or run! These friendly and playful dogs have homes they can go to but spend their days free-roaming around, or chilling out on the beach. They`re definitely a highlight of visiting Rarotonga ❤️

Kyoto, one of the most beautiful and traditional places in Japan! We loved exploring peaceful gardens, temples that disappear into the mountains, and visiting nearby Nara Park and Himeji Castle as day trips. But the real highlight was walking around Gion at night with bright red lanterns and experiencing a tea ceremony with the most beautiful Geiko San/Geisha! 🩷 👘 🏮 Get out early (before 7 am) to avoid the crowds around the beautiful old streets.

Visiting Hiroshima and the Peace Memorial Museum was a very sobering experience in Japan. It`s now a vibrant, modern city and a must is to wander around the Peace Park and take a boat ride to visit to the beautiful nearby island of Miyajima ⛩️ 🦌

Beautiful Kefalonia 💙 We stayed in the picture-perfect town of Asos and hired a car to explore the nearby villages of Sami and Fiskardo.
Asos is the perfect place to stay with cute shops, great restaurants and you can swim just off the harbour in crystal clear waters.

Paxos, a stunning Ionian island in Greece, just a one hour ferry ride south of Corfu. We stayed just out of Gaios, a very cute port with lots of yachts and great restaurants and bars! We bounced from the pool to the ocean to the bars & restaurants! 🏊♂️🍹
